When John and Sarah first reached out to the Catholic Community Foundation, they weren’t sure where to begin. Their hearts were moved by a desire to remember their beloved family members in a way that reflected their Catholic faith and the hope of eternal life.
“Losing our siblings drew us to ask: How can we best support our loved ones’ souls to Heaven?” John shared. “We wanted to do something lasting — something intentional.”
Through thoughtful conversations with our Foundation team, John and Sarah discovered a meaningful way to fulfill their wish: establishing a recurring memorial Mass intention funded through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF). Over time, that fund will roll into an endowment, ensuring perpetual gifting and ongoing remembrance in prayer for generations to come.
By working closely with the Foundation, John and Sarah transformed their grief into a living act of love — one that reflects both faith and trust in God’s mercy. “The Foundation was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable during an emotional time,” John reflected. “They turned our hope to fund perpetual memorial Masses into a reality, establishing a special legacy for our family.”
At the Catholic Community Foundation, stories like John and Sarah’s remind us that faith-filled giving is more than a financial act — it is a testament to love, remembrance, and hope in the promise of eternal life.
