The Catholic Community Foundation of Northeast Indiana (CCFNEI) seeks to provide permanent financial support to every Catholic parish, school, and ministry in our diocese — we want each of them to thrive for decades to come! Just last year, CCFNEI was able to grant more than $2 million to local Catholic causes. Your registration directly supports this work of the Foundation and will help us make even more grants to our Catholic community in the year ahead. Thank you! Additionally, a local ministry will also be chosen each year to benefit from a portion of Viva Bocce! proceeds. This year we are featuring A Mother’s Hope , a ministry that shelters pregnant women experiencing homelessness and provides life-changing opportunities for growth. Thank you for making a difference by joining us for Viva Bocce! Register your team by June 11: Click here to Register Donate
One of the special endowment funds stewarded by the Catholic Community Foundation is the Saint John Paul II Fund , dedicated to supporting seminarian education . Thanks to the generosity of donors throughout the diocese, this fund continues to grow, now granting nearly $50,000 annually to help our seminarians prepare for the priesthood. Because seminarians spend much of their time away at seminary, opportunities to meet and engage with them in person are limited. However, we’re excited to host a special event where parishioners can support and connect with these young men dedicating their lives to Christ. Our Shepherds, Our Future This intimate spring gathering provides a unique opportunity to meet our seminarians, mingle with the Office of Vocations, and hear from Bishop Kevin Rhoades wh ile learning more about the Saint John Paul II Endowment Fund. This special fund provides ongoing support for seminarian education. Guests will enjoy an evening of hors d'oeuvres and conversation,...
“A good shepherd, a pastor after God’s heart, is the greatest treasure which the good Lord can grant to a parish, and one of the most precious gifts of divine mercy.” - St. John Vianney Understanding the continuous need for funds to educate good shepherds, the St. John Paul II Endowment Fund was established in 2011 by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades for Seminarian Education. In May 2023 the Catholic Community Foundation of Northeast Indiana held an event, Our Shepherds – Our Future, to raise awareness and funds for this important endowment. Guests enjoyed an evening visiting with our many seminarians, hearing their discernment journey and learning how they can support them. Through donations to the St. John Paul II Fund for Seminarian Education, our Foundation is able to help seminarians throughout our Diocese with not only the practicalities of paying for school, but also with reducing stress and external factors in their continuing discernment process. Seminarian Andy Barnes said that the...
