The Catholic Community Foundation of Northeast Indiana has awarded nearly $200,000 in 2026 grants from its Legacy of Faith endowment funds supporting religious education and Hispanic ministry to support parish programs across the region.
These grants are part of the Foundation’s broader annual grantmaking and are specifically designated to help parishes expand programs that serve youth, strengthen faith formation, and respond to the needs of diverse communities.
Highlights include:

Providing scholarships through the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend and local parishes for young people to attend World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul, South Korea.

Funding scholarships, a Spanish-language track, and course materials for sessions at the St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catechetical Institute (Fort Wayne).

Expanding bilingual liturgies and programming at St. John the Baptist (South Bend) to serve a growing and diverse community.

Hosting Totus Tuus summer programs at several parishes, engaging youth and families in faith formation.

Keeping religious education affordable and accessible for families at St. Joseph (Fort Wayne).

Enhancing youth-led theater productions with new equipment at St. Matthew Cathedral (South Bend).
